'Firearms' incident man released without charge

A man arrested on Wednesday night by armed police in connection with a firearms incident in Newark has been released without charge.

The 31-year-old was arrested at an address on Millgate at 8.20pm following an altercation in the street with a woman.

Police investigations into what happened have now been closed.
