Firecrews attend numerous grass fires

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service attended around a dozen grass and undergrowth fires on Sunday.

Newark, Southwell, Tuxford and Edwinstowe firecrews were all called into action.

Among the grass and undergrowth fires in the Advertiser area were blazes at Walesby Scout Headquarters, Hollowdyke Lane, Balderton and another by the A617.

Appliances in Nottingham and elsewhere in the county were all used called out.

There was also a fence fire at Whinney Lane, Ollerton.
