Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service battles fire in Lowdham
Eight firecrews were summoned to battle a huge fire at 2am this morning.
The fire happened on Southwell Road, Lowdham, which affected traffic whilst crews dealt with the incident.
At 2am, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service had eight engines, one aerial ladder platform and one water carrier at the scene.
At 2.45am, the A612 between Thurgarton and the Lowdham Roundabout was closed to traffic.
An update on the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service twitter page said six fire engines and one aerial ladder platform remained at the scene.
This was reduced to two and the aerial ladder by 7am as the fire was brought under control.
The A612 reopened to traffic at 8.55am.
The latest is that a crew from Newark and the aerial ladder platform remain.
