Crews at Southwell and Tuxford Fire Stations to wash cars for The Fire Fighters Charity
Firefighters are to be armed with sponges and buckets this weekend, to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
Crews at Southwell Fire Station and Tuxford Fire Station will be among those getting involved on Saturday, March 29.
Members of the public can bring their car along to the station — in Southwell between 10am and 4pm, and in Tuxford between 10am and 2pm — to be washed, in exchange for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity.
In Southwell, every car washed will also receive a raffle ticket with a chance to win a range of prizes donated by the town’s businesses.
Last Saturday, March 22, crews at Collingham Fire Station held their charity car wash, and raised a huge £900 for the charity.
The Fire Fighters Charity provides life-long support, health, and wellbeing services to every member of the UK’s fire fighting community.
