Firefighters tackle diesel spillage

Firefighters have spent the morning tackling a diesel spillage in Bingham.

A crew from Bingham Fire Station and the environmental protection unit at Stockhill Fire Station were called out to the spillage on Moorbridge Road East at 6.20am.

About 350m of diesel has entered a nearby watercourse.

Firefighters were using suction pumps and other equipment to deal with the spillage.
