Nottinghamshire fitness instructor given runner-up title at national award ceremony
A fitness instructor has been recognised in a national award ceremony.
Lorna Flint, who runs a fitness business offering classes both online and in person, was a finalist in the National Community Fitness Awards. She was runner-up in the regional instructor category for the East Midlands and Yorkshire.
Lorna, who has classes in Lowdham, said: “It felt surreal, to go from working in gyms where no one really knows you to completely on my own and being recognised at national awards.
“It was lovely to be recognised.
“The awards are all about your contribution to fitness in the community and we are a thriving community online.”
The winner was decided based on a combination of public support and the judges’ opinion.
Lorna’s business, Lorna Marie Fitness, was created when the pandemic forced her to stop working as a freelance instructor in gyms, and offers on-demand and livestream workout classes.
