Flood warnings in Newark lifted by Environment Agency, but A617 Kelham Bridge still closed
As levels on the River Trent start to recede, several flood warnings in Newark and the surrounding villages have been lifted today (Thursday).
Warnings still remain in place at Girton, Collingham, Carlton on Trent, riverside properties in Newark and Tolney Lane.
A flood alert is also still in place at Burton Joyce, but all other flood warnings have now been lifted by the Environment Agency.
The A617 at Kelham Bridge remains closed, as is Chapel Lane in Farndon and Main Street in Bleasby.
The Riverside car park in Newark remains closed until further notice, as is the Town Wharf car park.
People are still being urged to remain vigilant though, as further rain is forecast for today.
