Many Newark and Farndon road closures in place because of flooding after Storm Eunice

There are many road closures in place in the Newark area because of flooding.

Heavy rainfall over the last week has forced not only the A617 Kelham Road to shut both ways from the A46 cattle market roundabout to The Fox Inn, but many others.

These include Kelham Lane both ways between the A617 and the A616 Great North Road, Trent Lane both ways between Ollerton Road and the A616 Great North Road, Wyke Lane both ways in Farndon between Chapel Lane and Marsh Lane, and Chapel Lane both ways in Farndon between Marsh Lane and Wyke Lane.

There is also very slow traffic on the A6097 both ways near Gunthorpe Bridge.
