Newark and Sherwood District Council alerted people that bin collections might face disruptions due to floods

Due to the ongoing flooding in the district, bin collections may face some disruption this week.

Newark and Sherwood District Council informed people through a Facebook post to be aware of the potential delays.

They said the team will do their best to get to everyone with a scheduled collection and will put on special collections as soon as safely possible to any unreachable areas.

The council wrote on the Facebook post: “Please note that even though roads may seem fine in your immediate area, our teams will be travelling to you and if roads on the route are impassable or unsafe, they will not be able to do so.”

They thanked the community for their understanding.
