Former Newark police officer Lee Bowditch admits indecent images charges

A former Newark police officer has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.
Lee Bowditch, 48, attended Leicester Magistrates' Court today (Friday 18) charged with two counts of making indecent images of children and subsequently pleaded guilty.
Bowditch, a retired police constable of Nottinghamshire Police, who lives in the Advertiser area, is now due to be sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on Friday 15 February.
He had previously denied offences and had been due to stand trial in April.
