Framework's new head of fundraising, from Newark, brings back the Big Sleep Out to raise funds
Newark resident Claire Eden is Framework’s new head of fundraising and communications.
Framework is a charity dedicated to helping rough sleepers across Nottinghamshire and others facing homelessness. It also helps resettle people into safe and suitable accommodation, and help build and develop new homes.
Claire (pictured centre) said: “I feel very passionately about the work we do. It’s key to making a huge difference to people’s lives.”
She is a long-standing Framework staff member with 27 years of experience working with homeless people, and has big goals for fundraising.
From now to the end of January she’s set a target to raise £160,000 to support the charity’s work with rough sleeper outreach programmes and employment help.
Both of these services are active in Newark, and across the county.
To raise the target amount of money Claire has arranged fundraising events including the return of the Big Sleep Out at Nottingham Racecourse and the Framework Carol Service at Southwell Minster.
The Big Sleep out is set to be a fun family event with live music, street food and a silent disco — a festival atmosphere to celebrate being back together — and supporters have the option to create cardboard shelters to sleep out overnight.
Framework offer a vast range of support to people, from mother and baby homes to addiction specialist end of life care.
Claire added: “Its an opportunity to help people from birth to death.”
Framework have many opportunities for in-person and digital fundraising.
