Newark's Fuji Shop, Middlegate, to offer free baby photo shoots permanently

A Newark photography shop is to permanently offer free photo shoots for babies following a successful campaign earlier in the year.

Parents of newborn children can once again take their little ones to The Fuji Shop on Middlegate for a complimentary Welcome To The World shoot.

Steve Watson, of The Fuji Shop, offered free shoots for babies born in lockdown. He now wants to offer the service permanently, meaning any baby can have their photo taken at any time.

Steve said: “Any child that’s born in Newark from now on will get a free photo shoot. It’s our way of giving back.”

Fifty-three babies had their photos taken over the summer, a number which exceeded Steve’s expectations.

“We didn’t expect it to do that,” he said. “They’ve got that memory now, it’s captured. Going forward, we can make a lot more people happier.”

The Fuji Shop will also be offering free photo shoots for families over the Christmas period.

“Christmas is on us. You can come along and book yourself in and have a photoshoot,” Steve said.

“We want to spread a little cheer.”

Those who have a Christmas photo shoot will also receive a free 8x6 photo to take home.

“It’s to say thanks for supporting us through all these years,” Steve said.
