Easter activities held at Newark Parish Church and Chatham Court




A range of free activities are to be held across Newark this Easter weekend.

A free morning of Easter activities will be held at Newark Parish Church tomorrow (Friday, April 15).

The morning of activities, named Messy Easter, will allow children to get stuck in with a variety of activities, including edible Easter gardens, arts and crafts and games.

The session will also include refreshments, singing and storytime, with each child receiving an Easter egg.

Activities will run at the church from 10am to 11.30am and children aged 11 and under can come with their parents or carers to get involved in the seasonal fun.

The Great British Spring Clean will be happening on Saturday, April 16. Participants will meet at the back of the Albert Street Co-op car park. it will run from 9.30am to 11.30am.

On Wednesday, residents of Chatham Court got involved with a range of fun Easter activities.

There was plenty to get involved with, from decorating the Easter trees with lights and decorations, planting sunflowers and vegetables.

Children who took part got an Easter chocolate, and will be asked to bring the pot back for the Jubilee where a prize will be awarded for the tallest sunflower. The flowers will then be planted in the ground.
