Newark: Townsend Moore Funeral Services moves into new premises on Stodman Street

A vacant premises has been taken on by a funeral director.

Townsend Moore Funeral Services, owned by Dorothy and Chris Townsend, has expanded its services to Newark.

The office is set to open from August 1 and is its fourth branch, with sites already in Grantham, Leadenham and Lincoln.

Chris said moving to Newark was natural progression for the business.

“We want to help families. In short, that is what we are about,” he said.

“We have our head offices in Leadenham and we were already doing a lot of funerals in Newark, so moving to Newark is the natural progression for us.

“For people to get an idea about us, they need to read the testimonials on our website.

“I could stand here all day and say how great we are, but the testimonials tell you what we are about.

“We know everyone won’t use us, but we want to help Newark.”

The new Townsend branch is at Stodman Street.
