GALLERY: European Juggling Convention attracts thousands of entertainers and amateurs
Thousands gathered in Newark on Sunday as part of the European Juggling Convention coming to town.
Over 2,000 people crowded the Market Place and later the Riverside Park for all-things juggling and entertainment from professionals and amateurs.
The colourful convention continues this Sunday (August 11) at Newark Showground offering a wide range of performance skills and shows featuring some of the best jugglers and circus acrobats in the world.
The festival started at the showground on August 3 but with the presence of so many entertainers and hobbyists there was combined on Sunday with Newark's Big Day Out.
It began with a juggling parade from the Riverside Park to the Market Square, finished off with a spectacular fire display by Glow Fx at the climax of the show back at the park in the evening.
In 20 years it was the first time the convention had been held in the UK and Nottinghamshire's Newark Showground.
