"We are very proud of their achievements and delighted that they will be staying at the Minster School sixth form to continue their studies next year.

"We are equally proud of students who have achieved results above their initial GCSE target grades.

"Niamh Haslam beat her target grades in six subjects.

"Ethan Wood and Alex Bradford were both above target grades in five subjects, and May Elliot received four grades that were higher than her targets.

"These grades are a testament to their resilience and hard work throughout their time at the Minster School.

"As with all students across the country, our year 11 students have faced a long period of school closure and the cancellation of the exam season that is normally the chance to demonstrate what they learned during their time in school.

"These have been challenging times for all, but students and staff have responded with resilience and optimism and achieved great success.

"Students in year 11 should be proud of the results they have achieved as they reflect their abilities and hard work, proven throughout their school education."
