Generations of residents come together for Yorke Drive pantomime

An estate’s residents — from teenagers to those in their 70s — put on a pantomime this festive season.

Yorke Drive’s Connect Together Club, which is run by Teresa Roberts and meets at the Beaumont Walk Comunity Centre on Monday evenings, told the tale of Snow White in their show at the Bridge Community Centre.

The pantomime featured residents from across the generations, with the youngest being 15-year-old Logan Darby, who starred as Prince Charming, and the oldest in their late 70s.

It was also a chance for people to get together and enjoy a festive show — complete with a drink and a mince pie on entrance and an ice-cream during the interval for just £4.

The Connect Together Club is for those over 15, and offers opportunities to try new things and make friends.
