National Trust Clumber Park launches The Snowman sculpture trail in collaboration with Wild in Art and Penguin Ventures
A nostalgic journey for families is coming to the National Trust over the festive period.
Clumber Park, in collaboration with creative producers Wild in Art and Penguin Ventures, is reliving the magic of Raymond Briggs’ heart-warming picture book, The Snowman with a special sculpture trail.
Starting today (Saturday 16 November) and running until Sunday January 5, visitors are invited to follow the trail of giant Snowman sculptures positioned at iconic locations across the park, each one decorated with designs inspired by the song, The Twelve Days of Christmas.
With themes of friendship, imagination and adventure, The Snowman™ is the ultimate festive story to explore with family and friends.
Rob Holder, general manager at Clumber Park, said: “We are delighted to be hosting a trail centred around one of the nation’s best-loved tales. It will highlight some of the most photogenic spots we have here at Clumber and will be loved by visitors of all ages.”
Thomas Merrington, creative director of Penguin Ventures, commented: “Raymond Brigg’s timeless and magical tale of friendship continues to be a beloved part of many families’ Christmas traditions.
“We are delighted The Snowman art sculptures will be a part of Clumber Park’s celebrations this year.”
Charlie Langhorne, managing director and co-founder of Wild in Art, added: “We are delighted to be working alongside the team at Clumber Park for a second year.
“Our festive trails encourage people to get out into the fresh air, experience wonderful art and discover amazing places around their local area. We can't wait for visitors to discover the magic of the trail and see how artists have brought the iconic Snowman to life.”
