Nottinghamshire Police appeal after girl assaulted at Newark Sherwood Avenue Park

A girl was assaulted at a park in Newark and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The assault happened at Sherwood Avenue Park on Monday at around 4.15pm.

A girl is said to have committed the assault and was backed up by a large group of teenagers — boys and girls.

Nottinghamshire Police has been made aware of the report and is investigating what happened.

Officers are now asking anyone with information to come forward and call 101, quoting incident number 22000249493.
