St John Ambulance Training Centre, Calverton, receives £1,000 from Persimmon Homes scheme

Youngsters are set to be taught first aid skills, thanks to a donation from a housebuilder.

The St John Ambulance Training Centre in Calverton has received £1,000 from the Persimmon Homes community champions scheme.

It will put the money towards supporting its youth training programme.

Designed for children aged seven and upwards, the programme lets young people learn about first aid and how the skills can safely be put into practice.
