HGV-driving Newark bride has show-stopping entrance

When considering transport for her wedding, there was only one option for a lorry-driving bride.

Haley Revitt (nee Stilwell) decided to drive herself, her mother and two bridesmaids to the ceremony at Newark Register Office on Saturday in her HGV.

For Haley and her new husband Nick, HGVs are a significant part of their relationship.

The Newark couple met while driving lorries and both work for Alwin Ltd, mainly in Europe.

Hayley said: “The truck is very very important to me and I’m very passionate about my job and I love my truck.

“I couldn’t think of anything better than to drive myself in my truck. It had ribbons and bows all over it and looked very good.”

While Nick and his best man made their way to the ceremony more modestly, he supported Haley’s plan.

“We had spoken about it and he knew I was so passionate about it,” Hayley said.
