Norwood Park in Southwell is hosting its first-ever Christmas Market brought by Fabulous Places
A historic venue will be hosting its first-ever Christmas market this weekend.
Norwood Park in Southwell is set to be transformed into a festive wonder as Fabulous Places presents an artisan market.
From Saturday (December 7) to Sunday (December 8), handcrafted treasures and seasonal delights from local and national artisans will be at the park estate.
The Fabulous Places Christmas Market will feature a curated selection of over 35 artisan makers, offering everything from handmade jewellery and unique homewares to gourmet treats and festive decorations.
There will also be a range of food and drinks, both hot and cold, available.
Jessica Collin, owner of Cast & Found Jewellery said: “It’s always heart-warming to see families and friends come together to enjoy the festive season while supporting independent makers and local businesses.
“Events like these are the perfect opportunity to share my bespoke handmade jewellery with people who want to shop small and buy gifts with connection and meaning.”
Cast & Found heirloom gold and silver jewellery cast from nature collected by Jessica in and around the Southwell area.
The jewellery is presented in sustainable moss-filled boxes to instil the feeling of the natural environment in the gift-giving process.
David Hurst of Blackbird Coffee, another longstanding stallholder at the Fabulous Places markets said: “We love attending Deb’s events, as she always gathers together an amazing group of artisans and creative makers in wonderful settings.
“We are looking forward to experiencing the new venue of Norwood Park this weekend for what is sure to be another fabulously festive event.”
On Saturday the event will take place from 12noon to 5pm and from 10.30am to 3pm on Sunday.
Parking will be available on-site and admission tickets are £5 per person, however, children under 16 enter for free.
Madeleine Walker, the general manager at Norwood Park said: “We’re thrilled that Deb has chosen Norwood Park as the Nottinghamshire venue for the Fabulous Places Christmas market this year.
“Her talent and dedication for curating beautiful events featuring exceptionally talented independent businesses shines through at every stage, and we’re excited to offer something new to visitors at Norwood Park.”
Whilst this is the first year Fabulous Places is bringing its Christmas market to Norwood Park, the event already has an established following.
The market has been held for several years at Shottle Hall in Derbyshire, where this year’s market, which took place from November 15 to 17, attracted over 3,500 visitors.
“We’ve had a fantastic response at Shottle Hall over the years, and I’m excited to be expanding the number of events we’re running this year to give our incredible makers more opportunities to shine,” said Deb, the event organiser at Fabulous Places.
