Sixteen teams took part in an annual charity fancy-dress five-a-side football tournament hosted by Newark’s Holy Trinity Football Club on Saturday.

A team dressed as Scousers beat the Mexicans in the final at the event, which raised just over £1,000. The money will be shared between the club and Beaumond House Community Hospice.

As well as football, there was children’s entertainment, including face-painting and a bouncy castle, plus snooker, pool and an Irish dancing performance, all at the Holy Trinity Community Centre, Boundary Road.
