Bungalows application for Jubilee Street, Newark, has support of town council
A planning application for bungalows on land to the rear of 57-59 Jubilee Street, Newark, is being supported at the second time of asking.
A proposal was resubmitted after being turned down by the district council when the request was three bungalows, which was said to be too many for the parcel of land.
“Three properties was too many, two I can support,” said committee member Mathew Skinner.
The committee shared Mr Skinner’s opinion and will tell Newark and Sherwood District Council it is in favour of the proposal.
Former councillor Laurence Goff, attending the meeting as a member of the public, told the meeting there was a shortage of bungalows in the district and any application for moe should be supported where appropriate.
