Coddington WI hopes new faces will join after covid-19 lay-off

Coddington WI is looking forward to building its membership back up after the covid crisis now meetings can take place in-person again.

Tuesday, August 10, marked Coddington’s first meeting back at the village hall after a long lay-off and it was said to be good to chat with old friends again and to catch up on everyone’s time in lockdown.

August was the annual meeting, which was followed by a quiz and cream tea to round off the afternoon.

The second meeting in September included a talk by Sue Lloyd called Royal Brides Victoria to Eugene.

The A Wedding Photo competition was won by Marilyn Harrison.

At the October meeting, the speaker was David Templeman, who spoke about Mary Queen of Scots.

The competition, Some-thing Scottish, was won by Lesley Walker.

Meetings will now be during the day.

They take place on the second Tuesday of the month, starting at 2pm, in the village hall and new members are always welcome.

Women can go along as a guest if not a member already.

Every month there is either a speaker or an activity to try.
