Hospital pharmacy to close
Published: 10:57, 22 September 2010
The outpatient pharmacy at Newark Hospital will close from Monday.
A pharmacy service will remain at the hospital for patients on the wards, but outpatients who are prescribed medication from the hospital will have to go to another pharmacy.
The decision to scrap the service has been made by Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust to create efficiency savings.
A trust spokesman said: "Pharmacy services to inpatients and A & E patients at Newark Hospital will continue, and the changes to pharmacy services will not affect the excellent quality of care Newark Hospital provides."
