A Winkburn farm that supplies wheat for Hovis will open to the public a week on Sunday in the first of a series of national initiatives by the famous brand.

Farmer Mr Dean Broadberry will welcome people to Roewood Farm for an opportunity to learn more about where Hovis bread comes from and get an insight into farming life.

Mr Broadberry, 38, is the third generation of his family to farm at Roewood Farm, which is owned by the Winkburn Estate.

People who visit the 900-acre farm will be able to see all the machinery and children will be allowed to sit on the tractors.

Actives during the day, from 10am to 4pm, include a farm walk and talks on the life cycle of wheat.

See Friday's Advertiser for the full story.
