Barcode Warehouse, Newark, join judging panel for Newark Business Awards

Former double award winner Barcode Warehouse already knows the benefits of a Newark Business Award ­— now it is seeing the advantages of being a sponsor.

The company, based on Newark Industrial Estate, has signed up to sponsor the business innvovation category at this year’s awards.

It is a category close to the company’s heart, having recently opened its Innovation and Customer Experience Centre in Newark.

It is the third site in the town opened by Barcode Warehouse, which is a leading specialist provider of barcode technology.

Joanne Lee, HR and Customer Services Director and founding family member at The Barcode Warehouse, who lives in Newark, said: “We are excited to judge and sponsor the innovation award, a category that means a lot to us.

“I am personally looking forward to hear about all the accomplishments the finalists achieved in their fields and I am very pleased that we have been able to sponsor this fantastic event that celebrates the best of Newark’s business community.

“We look forward to meeting all the amazing local businesses and celebrating their hard work.”

Nominations have now closed for this year’s Newark Business Awards and all electronic entry packs should have been submitted.

Our team of independent judges ­— including Barcode Warehouse ­— are now sifting through the packs to decide the four finalists in each of the ten categories.

They will be revealed in the Advertiser on Thursday, April 13.

The judges will then visit each of the finalists to deciding the winners and runners-up in the different categories.

The winners will be revealed at a gala black-tie ceremony at the Lady Eastwood Centre, Newark Showground, on Friday, June 9.
