IT’S BACK: Hugely popular kilo of quality clothing for a tenner promo returns at White Rose, Stodman Street, Newark, this weekend in support of the Aegis Trust
Kilos of quality of clothing are again up for grabs at a Newark charity shop this coming weekend.
People parting with a tenner can grab themselves an assortment of quality clothing from its now famous Kilo Sale, which is happening at White Rose on Stodman Street on both Saturday and Sunday.
Extended hours are in operation this weekend due to the popularity of the event last time around, with people queuing to get their hands on a bargain and still arriving outside of normal opening times.
On Saturday kilos of clothing are up for grabs from 9.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday, it’s 10am to 4pm.
Store manager Ruth Woolgar said: “We’re braced for a busy weekend. Last time we held a Kilo Sale it was so popular. There were queues. Even a week afterwards people who said they’d seen it advertised in the Advertiser were asking when our next one was going to be.
“We’ve volunteers coming in to help manage what we hope and believe will be similar demand.
“As ever, there’s no entry fee or ticketed entry; no gimmicks – just a kilo of quality clothing for £10.”
The promotion by White Rose raises money for the Aegis Trust, a not-for-profit charity that works to build peace in communities at risk of genocide and mass atrocities, as well as rebuilding communities that have suffered from them, in their road to healing and recovery.
