Jessie J is the first act to announce they will be performing concerts in seven woodland locations this summer as part of the Forestry Commission's Forest Live concert series.

Jessie, who has had a string of number one hits with Who You Are, Price Tag, and Domino, will play at the Sherwood Pines Forest, near Edwinstowe, on Friday, June 13.

The singer shot to fame in 2010 with the release of her debut single, Do It Like A Dude.

Last year she appeared on the BBC's The Voice, as a coach for its first two series in 2012 and 2013.

Jessie said: " I made my Forest Live debut this summer with just one show which I loved so it's great to be talking in another four Forest Live dates next year."

Last year saw live performances from Blondie and Paul Weller at Sherwood Pines Forest.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship.

Tickets for the Sherwood Pines gig are now on sale for £41.50 and can be bought from the Tourist Information Centre in Rufford Country Park or by ringing 01623 824545.
