Newark Kutchenhaus kitchen showroom off to a flying start

A newly-opened kitchen showroom boasts strong sales and a pipeline of enquiries in its first months of business.

Co-owned by Siobhann Lucy and Jodie Mills, Kutchenhaus Newark, on Robin Hood Walk, opened its doors in July and has been busy since its launch, welcoming customers to learn about its German kitchens.

With 15 years of combined experience in the industry, first as designers before moving to senior positions, the pair put the early success down to their working relationship, and enthusiasm for the new venture.

Siobhann said: “Jodie and I met seven years ago and really haven’t looked back. We both wanted a change from our previous roles and it was July 2021 when one evening we met up over a gin and tonic — we planned the dream and now we’re making it happen. We couldn’t be more different people and that contrast really works for us in business. Once we’d decided to go ahead, we quickly found a unit last December which was perfect for what we wanted to do.”

The showroom, features 2,000 square feet of retail space, five full kitchen displays, as well as a bathroom display, living room, workstation, and bar area.

There are also appliances from brands such as AEG, Bosch and Siemens.

Jodie added: “Doing something new that we love has given us a new drive in our careers. We’re both passionate about kitchens, obsessed even, and we’re determined to deliver a quality service to our customers.

“Our first few months have been exciting and has highlighted to me how great it is to work with a friend who shares your vision. I think the fact that our customers get to know us and that we’re available to support them however much or little they need is a real difference maker.

“We can offer our enthusiasm and knowledge, coupled with a personalised service to take them on the journey to transforming their kitchen.”
