A primary school pupil has cut off 11 inches of her hair for charity.
Kyla McCarthy, who attends The William Gladstone Church of England Primary Academy, Newark, has cut her hair for the Little Princess Trust.
This is a charity that makes wigs for young people who have lost their hair.
The ten-year-old had her hair cut at Glamour Salon on Middlegate.
Kyla said: “The haircut went really well. I really like it.
“I’ve wanted my hair short for a few years now.
“I asked my mum if I could cut it and donate it to charity but I didn’t know what charities there were.
“My mum said she’d found the Little Princess Trust online.”
Kyla raised £450 for the charity.
