Southwell Racecourse received an excellence award at RCA Showcase Awards in Hamilton
Staff at Southwell Racecourse have received an excellence award after being assessed at this year’s Advertiser Ladies Day.
The venue picked up the accolade at the RCA Showcase Awards in Hamilton.
“The comments and resulting scores do not surprise me because I know how good they all are, but I must say,it is fantastic for all who work here, to be recognised by our industry association (advised by Visit England) for all our hard work,” said racecourse executive director Mark Clayton.
“To receive this award from a visit on our busiest day of the year, when we have a number of less seasoned staff working on-site, is a testament to our staffing managers, on the day training and employed staffing agencies.”
The racecourse scored 88.42% in the Quality Assured Racecourse Assessments in the staff section following a visit from an adjudicator on Ladies Day in August.
According to the Visit England report, staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with questions quickly answered.
They reported a positive first impression of the racecourse.
