Newark and Sherwood Operation Reacher assist in raid that discovered large cannabis grow

Newark and Sherwood Operation Reacher police helped conduct searches that lead to the discovery of a large cannabis grow.

Officers found the drugs when assisting in Hull alongside CID and Humberside Police.

Reacher officers also gave emergency first aid to a person who suffered a catastrophic bleed as a result of an assault in Mansfield. A female was detained after the incident.

Op Reacher supported the Sherwood beat team in Southwell for an anti-social behaviour operation where they worked closely alongside council anti-social behaviour and community protection officers.

A number of pub licence checks were conducted, groups of youths were engaged with and one car was seized for having no tax.

Police also assisted at the Notts County vs Chesterfield game which they said at times was a challenging operation.

Numerous tickets have also been handed to motorists for having no insurance, not wearing a seatbelt and the use of a mobile phone at the wheel.
