A total of 55 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 20,323 (up 51) Bassetlaw 18,430 (up 52) Broxtowe 15,926 (up 76) Gedling 18,174 (up 66) Mansfield 17,73 (up 41) Newark and Sherwood 16,826 (up 55) Rushcliffe 17,392 (up 60) Nottingham city 54,429 (up 133) Nottinghamshire 124,803 (up 401).

In the last seven days there have been 376 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down 43 cases on the previous seven days.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 228.

According to the latest public data, 9,366,676 (up 32,785) patients in the UK have tested positive and 142,124 (up 262) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to November 8 is 50,296,294 (up 33,559). The total for the second dose is 45,873,038 (up 20,361) and the total for the booster is 10,580,122 (up 277,578).
