Chattertons Solicitors & Wealth Management in Newark takes over Andrew & Co Solicitors

A leading chain of solicitors has acquired another law firm, combining more than 350 years of legal history.

Chattertons Solicitors & Wealth Management, Newark, has taken over Andrew & Co Solicitors, bolstering their staff by 25% after welcoming all existing employees to join them.

All staff from Andrew & Co Solicitors have been relocated to Chattertons’ Newark office on Farndon Road.

“By combining our excellent teams we will continue to deliver an exceptional service to all of our clients in Lincolnshire, Newark and across the East Midlands,” said Edward Conway, Chattertons chief executive.

“Relationships are important to us and we will ensure that all existing clients with both firms will receive the high-level of service and support they are used to with the team member they have already been working with.

Chattertons is one of the longest-serving independent law firms in the East Midlands, after it was established by Frederick William Tweed in 1856.

Since then the firm has expanded, opening more offices across the county, as well as in Newark and London.
