Section of A46 closed near Newark tonight for roundabout works causing diversions to Bingham and Grantham

Motorists face long overnight diversions while a section of the A46 near Newark is closed for roundabout works.

From 8pm tonight until 5am tomorrow, and from 8pm to 5am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights next week, there will be an official diversion of more than 30 miles while a section of A46 between Farndon roundabout and the cattle market roundabout is closed.

The official diversion route for motorists travelling both northbound and southbound goes to Bingham and Grantham, along the A46, A52 and A1.
