Both evenings include carols and readings as well as time for reflection and remembrance.

Fundraising and events officer with the hospice Holly Fowler said for many people, who have lost loved ones, Christmas could be a time with both sad and happy memories.

"In Lighting up a Life at Christmas we hope that this time of reflection will bring comfort," she said.

Photographs of loved ones with a message can be brought along to both events to hang and display on a memory wall of light.

Holly is asking for the photos to be laminated or put in a protective cover. They can be collected at the end of the evening.
