Ellis Mather Group presents Newark Festival announces line-up including Marc Almond and Heather Small




The line-up for this year’s Newark Festival has been announced.

The festival is scheduled to take place next year over the Bank Holiday weekend on August 28 and 29.

LHG Events have revealed this year’s headliners for Saturday will feature Discover the 80s, and promises an unforgettable evening with some of the best music from the much-loved decade.

This year’s line-up will see Marc Almond, of Soft Cell, take to the stage along with Heather Small, Hue & Cry, China Crisis and Altered Images.

The 2020 Newark Festival sees Ellis Mather Group return as its naming rights partner, along with standing festival partners Newark Town Council, Liz Hobbs Group, and local businesses Barcode Warehouse, Farndon Boathouse, Duncan Toplis, Inizio, Team KnowHow and Future Prospects.

“We have some amazing acts and urge everyone to get into the spirit of the decade, and dress up for the occasion.

Dennis Jones, leader of Newark Town Council, added: “I am very pleased with the line-up for next year’s Festival.

We are working to produce a fantastic weekend of music and entertainments, and details of a bigger and better, free, Brass Explosion event on the August Bank Holiday Sunday will be announced shortly.”
