Richard Fry, of Newark, dedicates song and music video to Children’s Bereavement Centre
A man inspired by a Newark-based children’s charity has written a song and produced a music video to celebrate its work.
Richard Fry, of Newark, decided to write a song and film a music video — called A Rainbow Appears — after volunteering at the Children’s Bereavement Centre’s annual summer camp.
Richard said: “I volunteered to attend the annual summer camp, and really enjoyed taking part in all the great activities that the centre organise to help children in groups with their bereavement.
“It was emotional to say the least. But it wasn’t until I got back home that I realised just how much the experience had left me feeling touched by the work that goes on at the camp.
“I must have absorbed all the emotions during the two days there, and on arriving home I just kind of found myself picking up my guitar and writing a song. I thought I would share it with you all, and ask that if you like the song that you might be kind enough to donate a little money to help the Children’s Bereavement Centre do what they do best.
“They really do provide a very important service to the community, it is a charity with a huge heart, and many children benefit from the superb work they do.”
