Balderton-based Warwick Court to host Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning tomorrow (Friday)

A Balderton-based assisted living community is hosting a fun-filled coffee morning tomorrow.

Warwick Court on Warwick Road is holding its first ever Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning, with residents offering coffee and cakes on their lawn from 10.30am onwards.

Residents are expecting 150 people to attend and are inviting the public to join them and their friends and family in fundraising.

A raffle has been arranged with prizes donated from Chesters Pub, Banks Greengrocer and J Cottier Family Butchers, all in Balderton, as well as from members of the public.

Residents decided to hold the event after a meeting. Myra, a resident and organiser of the coffee morning, said: "Cancer is something that touches so many people.

"The support of residents was amazing."

The coffee morning will be hosted from 10.30am.
