Macmillan coffee morning raises more than £3,500

A coffee morning in Southwell raised more than £3,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The fundraiser, organised by the Rotary Club of Southwell and Southwell Lions, attracted around 600 to Trebeck Hall, Southwell Minster.

There was plenty on offer at the coffee morning, including a tombola and a raffle.

For the first time a collection bucket circled the town centre.

The secretary of the Rotary Club of Southwell, Paul Cox, said: "Overall it was a success. We had a lot going on."
