Delays and cancellations to LNER, Grand Central, Lumo and Hull Trains services to continue after person hit by train near Newark, National Rail confirm
Delays and cancellations of rail services are to continue until early evening after a person was hit by a train.
The incident occurred at around 10am today (Thursday) at South Muskham level crossing and disruption is expected until 5pm, National Rail has warned passengers.
Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, EMAS, Police, and Network Rail were at the scene at Church Lane earlier today.
A Grand Central train was involved in the collision, and a passenger on a train which evacuated passengers from the scene confirmed the train and police were still at the crossing at 1pm.
The passenger said there was no word on how long the train would remain there.
