Man, 20, taken to hospital after road traffic collision that hit gas main on Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe

A man was taken to hospital after a road traffic collision that hit a gas main.

Fire crews were called to an incident Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe on Monday at 10.09pm.

Adjacent properties were evacuated whilst crews worked with the gas board to isolate the gas supply.

One 20-year-old man was released before crews arrived and taken to hospital by paramedics.

The incident was dealt with and residents returned to their properties by 00.03am.
