Toddler suffers life-threatening following 3-vehicle crash near Holdingham roundabout at Sleaford




A 20-month old boy has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash.

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for witnesses after three cars crashed - a white Audi, a silver Kia Ceed and black Volkswagen Passat - yesterday (Wednesday, March 19) at 4.45pm close to the Holdingham roundabout at Sleaford on the A17.

A 20-month old boy has suffered life-threatening injuries following the crash. He received treatment at the scene before being airlifted to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Other people who were involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.

Officers carried out investigations while the road remained closed until 2.30am this morning (Thursday, March 20).

A 31-year-old man, who was driving the VW Passat from the Newark area towards Sleaford, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
