Man airlifted to hospital after crash in Newark

A man in his 60s was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Newark.

He suffered injuries to his leg following the crash, which involved a car, in Lombard Street.

East Midlands Ambulance Service were alerted at 10.11am and sent a paramedic, fast response vehicle and ambulance to the scene.

A crew from Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance were also called and they took the man to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham.

They were alerted at 10.27am and landed at Sconce and Devon Park at 10.47am.

The man's current condition is currently unknown.
