A Newark man has been charged with burglary following a break-in at the Toymaster store in Kirkgate in Newark on March 1.

A MAN appeared in court yesterday charged with a burglary of a Newark toy shop.

Shane Barthorpe, 34, of Tithe Barn Court, was charged with burglary after a break-in at the Toymaster store in Kirkgate on March 1.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).

A 44-year-old man also arrested in connection with the same burglary was released under investigation by police.
