A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a car key burglary in East Stoke.

Shaun Kennelley, 20, of Cross Street, Newark, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (July 14) and was remanded in custody.

A 29-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of burglary has been released on conditional bail.

A 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of burglary has been released under investigation.

It relates to a report of a break-in which happened at a home in Brownlow Close at around 11.30pm on Thursday (July 12)..

The keys to a Jaguar and a BMW were taken during the burglary, resulting in the vehicles being stolen.

A quantity of cash, a laptop and items from the kitchen were also stolen during the incident.

The cars were later recovered by officers in Derbyshire
