Man arrested on suspicion of the attempted theft of a bike
A man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted theft of a push bike and going equipped to steal.
The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) on Slaughterhouse Lane, Newark.
The 21-year-old male was arrested by response officers who were out on-foot in the town regarding an unrelated matter.
Nottinghamshire Police say the man attempted to escape on another bike but was swiftly detained.
