A man has died in a collision on the A1 this morning.
Police say the man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The A1 southbound carriageway remains closed and is likely to remain closed until this afternoon.
According to traffic reports, a van collided with the central reservation between the Little Ponton and Harlaxton slip-roads and ended up on the opposite carriageway, just after 11pm last night.
Emergency repairs were carried out on the carriageway.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "We are dealing with a fatal collision on the A1 southbound at Great Ponton. The White Ford Transit and trailer was travelling southbound when the collision occurred, just before 11.30pm last night.
"We have spoken to a number of people but would like to hear from anyone else who saw the collision, or the White Ford Transit van and trailer prior to this time on the A1 travelling southbound.
"We are also appealing for any drivers who may have captured footage on a dash cam of the collision or the van prior to the collision."
